With the announcement on Monday night of an extended agreement with TaylorMade Golf to develop a lifestyle brand dubbed Sun Day Red, Woods is ringing in the new year with a new appearance.
Partnership with Nike
Following Woods' 27-year partnership with Nike, which began when he became pro in August 1996 with his "Hello, World" campaign, came the transition.
In 2016, Nike ceased to operate its golf club and ball equipment business. In the past, Woods held contracts with Bridgestone for golf balls and TaylorMade for clubs. He is now fully committed to TaylorMade's clothing and shoe business.
